Instructional Support
I designed this LibGuide to introduce interested parties to the principles and practices of open pedagogy. It includes philosophical rationale, examples, and resources for instructors.
I designed this website as a platform for the UNC System Open Pedagogy Incubator, a professional development program in which we remotely teach cohorts of faculty from institutions across the UNC system about open pedagogical practices and support them in developing open interventions in their courses.
Sample Lesson Plan
This is a lesson planning template I use to help prepare for library instructional sessions by employing backward design. In this example, I imagine myself as an embedded liaison librarian in an introductory American Studies course, leading a class section to address two ACRL information literacy frames: (a) research as inquiry and (b) scholarship as conversation.
